Since 1998, TRTA members have been heavily involved in the Children's Book Project. The Children’s Book Project (CBP) is a service activity initiated by local units of the Texas Retired Teachers Association. The purpose is to put books into the hands of children who otherwise would not have books of their own.

The Seguin-Guadalupe County RTA has collected books and distributed them to all 4 year olds at Ball Early Childhood Center. Our local RTA will continue this practice for the 2014-2015 school year. We ask our members to donate new children’s books throughout the year so that they can be distributed near the end of the school year.

On May 27, 2015, children's books were delivered to the Ball Early Childhood campus
by Seguin-Guadalupe RTA members.
