Celebrating our 70th year of Service to Retired School Personnel
ARTICLE III (ARTA Bylaws)
SECTION 1. Members of this association shall be of three (3) classes: Active, Honorary, and Life.
A. Active Member. Any retired employee of a school, college or university, public or private, may become an Active member upon payment of dues.
B. Honorary Member. Honorary membership may be extended to distinguished friends of education by a vote of the membership.
C. Life Member. A member who has contributed service to the association may be extended life membership by a vote of the members. Past Presidents are automatically Life members.

Friday, February 12, 2022 - Adiee Gonzales, Community Engagement Manager, Central Texas Food Bank, will speak: "Hunger and Food Banking in Central Texas."
Friday, January 14, 2022 - Charles Loosen, Community Engagement Specialist, City of Austin, will speak: "Austin's Emerging Homelessness Strategy."
Friday, December 10, 2021 - Encore Holiday Video Performance by Carole Stockton and the Hawaiian Kona Isle Dance Group; and Larry Yawn, TRTA Legislative Director, will speak about "Elections and Other Priorities in 2022."
Friday, November 12, 2021 - Glenn Towery, Chairman and Founder, Veterans Suicide Prevention Channel, will speak: "the Importance of Education to Help Veterans and Others."
Friday, October 8, 2021 - Art Martinez de Vara, author and former mayor of Von Ormy, Texas, will speak about his book, Tejano Patriot: the Revolutionary Life of José Francisco Ruiz, 1783-1840.
Friday, September 10, 2021 - Tim Lee, TRTA Executive Director, will be our speaker, "What happened in the 87th Legislative Session?"
Friday, May 14, 2021 - Amy Simmons, Founder and Owner, Amy's Ice Cream presented "The Amy's Ice Cream Story."
Friday, April 9, 2021 - David Anderson of Hilco Partners presented "Impact of the 87th Legislative Session on ARTA Members"
