The White Settlement Retired School  Employees Association (WSRSEA) for short, has completed sixteen(16) years of continued service to the White Settlement ISD and surrounding communities.

Members of WSRSEA have dedicated 17400 volunteer hours. The amount attributed for the volunteer hours is $23.00 per hour. Math is not my strong suit  but that is a lot of money saved.  Members love their volunteer time, helping with food bank at church, making  quilts for  newborn babies, lapghans for senior citizens at nursing homes at Christmas.  There are as many projects as we have members.

Walking is a favorite type of exercise for our members along with many kinds of exercise. We keep strong and fit as best we can.

A favorite project is our Childrens Book Project.  This year we will donate at least two books per student to the Head Start students for a total of 60 students. We loooove seeing the childrens faces when the teacher tells them the books are yours and you may take the books home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And, of course, we can't help but smile with the children, because as educators, reading is sooooo important!!!!!! Yea!!

We also, donate books to the Special Programs Transition students and we are so thrilled to be able to be a part of this program and work with the staff and students.

We are lookng forward to a great year. Come and be a part of the fun with us.

Please come and be a part of the fun and make new friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
