(SMART) - Hays County is a local unit of the Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA).  Our members are retired public school employees from Hays County and the surrounding area.  Teachers and non-teaching school personnel who are retired under the Teacher Retirement System (TRS) are invited to attend any meeting and become a member.  Active (non-retired) school employees and those interested in supporting the work of TRTA and SMART - Hays County may join as associate members.

Meetings are on the second Thursday of each month September - May. 
Meeting times and locations vary, so please check the details on the tab next to HOME.
All locations are in San Marcos, TX unless otherwise noted.
Most meetings at local restaurants start at 11:30 AM.  Meetings at the Dunbar Community Center usually start with a social time at 2:30 PM and program at 3:00 PM.
