Winter arrived and we got a white Christmas. Snow is such a beautiful event to enjoy. I hope all had a chance to build that snowman for your yard. All the yearbooks/directories have been picked up, mailed, or delivered so if you missed getting one let me know. Thanks to all the ORT/SPA members that helped with the Ector County ISD Christmas ornaments presentation held at Municipal Plaza sponsored by Representative Brooks Landgraf. 2016 brings many opportunities for members of ORT/SPA to help with their organization: as elected officers, committee chairs, committee members, education seminars, training, and district and state conventions. Opportunities are unlimited. ORT/SPA will be a strong organization with the help of ALL retirees/members. Remember your organization needs you and you need your organization. There are so many annuitants in Ector County that need to be part of this organization. When benefits, insurance, cost of living increases, etc. are not supported by each and every annuitant, the legislators do not know to support these issues either. Whose fault is it when these benefits are lost forever and then it will be too late? Your voice needs to be heard through the organization. Ricky Chandler
