An outreach effort to attract new members for the Hill Country Retired School Employees Association was held on March 24, 2017 at President Jo Ann Silberisen’s house.  Those present were: Wynell Aaberg, Jane Pickett, Linda Seymour, Deanna Jordan, Ruth Strackbein.  The group discussed several different possibilities and agreed on one of the suggestions.

The suggestion they chose to try includes speaking to the school superintendents in our area and requesting permission to serve cookies in the teachers’ lounge.  We will also place literature, from the state, that explains who we are and what we do for retired teachers. Two of us would be present to answer any questions that they might ask us.
