Our next meeting on November 13 will be a potluck lunch beginning at 11:30 a.m.  The program will be a "Legislative Panel".  Tom Greenwood has made a list of questions for our representatives which concerns their stand on funding TRS-Care and on maintaining TRS as a "defined benefit plan".  We would really like to have good attendance bring a favorite dish and a friend.

The first meeting for this year  was a potluck lunch on September 11.  Following the business meeting, "Bingo" was the activity with numerous prizes for winners. Players paid $5 for each card.  Money raised went to the Scholarship/Children's Book programs.

It is time to reserve your place at the annual Christmas Luncheon to be on December 11 at 11:30 a.m .   This year the entertainment will be "Elvis" (Impersonator).  Many on the board have heard his program and really enjoyed it.  Also the Christmas Lunch will return to being held at the First Methodist Church on McAlister..

Our first Field Trip will be to the "Gone With the Wind Museum" in Cleburne on Wednesday, Nov. 1st.  We will visit the museum and then have lunch together.  Dorothy Nash has worked deligently planning this activity.
